Types of Sawn Timber
Unseasoned Timber
Timber that is classified according to its original moisture content. Any timber supplied here that has moisture content > (insert number) % is considered unseasoned.
Seasoned Timber
Timber that undergoes the process of drying to remove the bound moisture contained in walls of the wood cells. Seasoned timber has a reduced weight, improved strength and the cross-sectional dimensions remain almost constant. Its superior advantages over unseasoned timber is suitable for indoor woodworking.
